Creating healthy and connected communities in which everyone can thrive is not a set of initiatives that can be undertaken on the side. Instead, it is a way of being and living in the world.
We are “Cultural Enrichers”*who take “Thriving Places, Thriving Lives” to heart. We dare, care, and live by the premise that there can be no social justice without design justice.
* The term “Cultural Enrichers” was coined by Traci Engel Lesneski, CEO, President, and Principal with MSR Design.
The meaning behind the logo
A metaphor for why, and how, to create healthy and connected communities in which everyone can thrive.
The overall shape resembles both a ring buoy and a table, with the alternating colors denoting that saving humanity
and building a more equitable and just world is dependent on being intentional in considering viewpoints
that might be different from yours.
We are committed to using design in building an equitable and just world through the four principles of CAST,
which means “to form by this process.”
Acknowledge that often, meaning-making choices are bounded.
Challenge assumptions, build synergies, and create dialogues.
Devote time, energy, and funds to understand diverse experiences.
Account for complex and multidimensional perspectives.
“Through Consider, Act, Seek, and Transform
we CAST healthy and connected communities in which everyone can thrive.”
