During the stay-at-home orders, downtown streets in Minneapolis were empty and devoid of cars. The evening of May 28, saw streets overtaken by people calling for justice as they walked from the Hennepin County Courthouse, their voices filling the space in between highrises. Some of Minneapolis’ 16 Fortune 500 companies are located downtown, part of the reason for the city’s and state’s strong economy.
