As with many of the favelas, social isolation is very difficult in favelas outside Sao Paolo. Multiple generations are often packed under one roof and there are few public parks or other public spaces. Same goes for hospitals that can handle large and difficult cases. For healthcare, there are clinics, but no big hospitals.
