On a street in North Yorkshire in the UK, neighbours have developed a colour-coded window system that informs others how they are doing during the pandemic. Green indicates that the people in the house are fine. Red indicates that they may need assistance in shopping, medication and/or transport—a symbol for others to help. Beth Crompton first shared this on Twitter on 18th March 2020 and the next day it was on the Yorkshire Evening Post’s website. At the time of posting the whole street was green, and I hope it continues to be like this.
